Hallowell, H Thomas Jr. Endowed Graduate Scholarship

The H Thomas Hallowell Jr. endowed graduate scholarship was established in 2000 by Anne Hallowell Miller and her brother Howard T Miller III in honor of their father Dr. Howard Thomas Hallowell Jr.

An internationally recognized industrialist, inventor and philanthropist, Dr Howard Thomas (Tom) Hallowell Jr. devoted his entire professional life to the success of SPS Technologies. During his leadership the Company developed from modest beginnings to become a leader in precision metal manufacturing of international proportions with plants in the USA, Germany, Japan, England, Australia and in Ireland at Shannon since 1959.

The Hallowell Scholarship is awarded to a University of Limerick Research Masters or PhD student in Aeronautical Engineering with a focus involving work with alloys or composites.
