Aongus Hegarty is a renowned business leader and seasoned board member with over 35 years of global experience, most notably as President for International Markets at Dell Technologies, where he led operations across 170+ countries.
A passionate advocate for business innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, leadership, and gender balance, he co-chaired the Irish government’s Balance for Better Business initiative for three years.
Aongus is the Founder & Director of Lakeside Capital LTD and serves on the Global Advisory Council for VentureWave Capital. He is a board member of the University of Limerick Foundation and Special Olympics Ireland and chairs both the Lero Research Ireland Governance Committee and the Munster Rugby Commercial Advisory Group. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Limerick.
Honoured with a Life Fellowship by the Irish Management Institute in 2019 and recipient of the prestigious Whitaker Award from the Irish Academy of Management in 2024, Aongus continues to shape the future of business and leadership.
