Guests dined in Plassey House on the UL campus where they were treated to a memorable performance by renowned singer, song-writer and musician Paul Brady. Brady has been a supporter of the Paul Brady Blas Scholarship Programme at the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance for a number of years.

Amongst those also attending was scholarship ambassador and retired professional boxing champion, Bernard Dunne.
The UL Foundation is launching a new ambitious scholarship programme at the university, which will offer a wide-range of scholarships covering academic excellence, under-represented groups, sports excellence, amongst other areas.

Speaking at the event, UL Chancellor Mary Harney said: “Scholarships have a huge impact on the lives of young people and I am delighted to support this important UL Foundation initiative. We are very fortunate to have fantastic scholarship ambassadors at the University and I want to thank those who have already supported scholarships through the UL Foundation and also ask others to help – either personally, through their companies, or through introductions”.
