Sir Terry Wogan, Named Greatest BBC Radio Presenter of the Last 50 Years

Former UL Foundation Director, Sir Terry Wogan has been named the greatest BBC radio presenter of the last 50 years in a Radio Times poll of broadcasting experts.  Sir Terry presented Radio 2’s breakfast show for a total of 28 years.

Terry was a great friend of the University, a member of the UL Foundation Board and a widely-respected and beloved figure UL has been proud to be associated with over many years.

For the years of immense pleasure he gave to millions of listeners and viewers, it is entirely appropriate that he should be recognised in this way.
