A number of UL Foundation donors who support scholarships were recognised at a special lunch on the University campus on 3rd March. UL President Professor Kerstin Mey also presented certificates to a number of student awardees on the day.
Amongst supporters attending the event were: Arup; Boston Scientific; BD; Ei Electronics; Michael Fagan; Holmes Law; Ingenium; Intel; Lyric FM; Prof. Edward Moxon-Browne; ORIX Aviation; Platt Reilly; PwC; Stryker; UniJobs.
Speaking at the event, Kerstin Mey said: “We have taken a long journey to get back to where we are today and with the return of safe in-person events, we can once again come together to celebrate the achievements and contributions of many to this university. Today is about a celebration of giving and recognising the importance of supporting the exceptional student journey – as well as our own exceptional UL journey.”
UL Foundation CEO Harvey Duthie paid tribute to the donors present, as well as those who could be there. He also emphasised the huge impact that scholarships and bursaries have in encouraging and supporting students and spoke about the Foundation’s goal of securing 50 additional scholarships for UL’s 50th anniversary.
