Harvey Duthie joined the Foundation as CEO in January 2020. He brings twenty years of fundraising experience to the role. Originally from Ballinasloe, he has worked on a range of major global fundraising campaigns, including for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Oxford University, Diocese of Westminster, Africa Centres for Disease Control, UNHCR, Singapore Management University, St. Mary’s University, Twickenham, St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth, Stonyhurst College and many others.
He is member of CASE’s UK & Ireland Cabinet, serves as Pro-Bono Fundraising Counsel to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Geneva, and has had an array of other voluntary positions, including Fundraising Counsel to ActionAid’s Global Secretariat, as a mentor for the UK’s Institute of Fundraising, a Founding Board Director of Fundraising Ireland and a Fundraising Committee Member for The Passage, a homeless shelter in central London.
Harvey is a Finance graduate of Maynooth University (BA Economics, Finance and French), a keen open water swimmer and enthusiastic long-distance runner.
